Cams

Did someone disagree with that? just pointing out options! idk much on the 83-85 hp whoppers. but if the cams are the same .444 lift and 266 dur then it will be good with most slightly better flowing head. depending on the size carb, id prolly just do heads myself.
depending on money you could find some gt40 iron heads or gt40p heads they flow more around 196 cfm at .500 lift. not a dead-on power buster but better than the E7.
e7 heads flow enough for about 300hp potential.
gt iron heads flow enough for about 402hp potential.
if you have the flow chart on any head you can figure potential hp by .257 X CFM X #cyls
but thats doing alot of homework on exactly the right cam (custom more than likely) and intake setup to keep them flowing there max and making that power. Thats bhp not rwhp lol.

all in all just make sure that your heads intake and cam match. try not to have lost power. if your cam kicks in at say 1500 but your heads and intake wont kick in til 2000 you've got a 500 rpm loss in your power band. alot of people lose power by having mismatched equipment
