Default Bought my first efi fox, pictures and questions

Well just picked this thing up from indiana yesterday. The guy i got it from didnt know much about it and didnt touch anything besides drive it every now and then. Picked it up for 4k, and drove it 2 hours home with no problems. Its a 306 with all forged internals, aluminum heads, cam, professional products intake, throttle body, pro-m maf, 30# injectors, fuel pressure gauge/regulator 2 fuel pumps, adjustable alt. bracket, mallory ignition, tremec 5 speed, pro 5.0 short throw with hurst ****, ALL autometer phantom gauges, rear seat delete, 6 point cage, ect ect. Their is a folder of receipts for everything that is on the car that i left at the sellers house, he said he will mail the folder to me. He said it was from the south, and this thing is cleaner then my notch from arizona. The paint on the car isnt bad, its not show quality but its presentable... Plans so far is get some weld in sub frame connectors, and fix the speedometer (i think it needs an adapter) Im sure i will get some questions as i go and will update this thread as i do. As for now, the timing is set at 10 degrees.... where should the timing be at this car? I was thinking around 14.... Also, it runs kind of rich, could this be because of the timing or does it need a tune? Also when the car is cold, the idle surges for about a minute or two, is this normal? Also just curious if you can raise or lower the idle on a efi car without getting a tune? Take a look at the pictures, if you see anything interesting or something feel free to point it out as im new to all this efi stuff. Let me know what ya think..

Not bad for 19 year old paint eh?

Couldnt get any more exterior pictures of the other side because it started to rain after that picture ^^^^^

Can anyone tell what exhaust that is? I thought the box was kind of weird..

Anyone know what that cable is for?? ^^^^^

Congrats loooks good...
For your idle just google 5.0 mustang base idle reset and clean the IAC...that will have all your answers on how to get rid of the surge and how to set idle

I think that cable is for the cruise control.

The exhaust looks like some kind highflow cats with flowmasters

Running rich check your fuel pressure with a 306 with the vacuum line off the fuel pressure it should be around 40-42 psi

Thanks for all the help, i kind of doubt those are cats, never seen anything like it before, and as i stated about the pictures i plan on getting some sub frame connectors. Just new to the efi thing not fox bodies.
