5.0 lx just a little tweak n peak

i am wanting to remove the smog pump and charcoal box from my 93 lx 5.0, if i do this will the vehicle still pass emissions tests for state inspections. i know every state is different for the most part with emissions control but if this is removed will it pass anything at all??? thanks in advance!!
