OK I'm trying to figure out what size belt I need for my setup. Here's how my setup looks now. As far as I know, I have stock pulleys. The water pump pulley is chrome so it could be smaller dia. than stock. There is no smog pump.

Well, it does help some. It looks like the lower left one is the routing method I need to use. I was gonna route it differently. Does that say I need a 73" belt? It's a tad small and gets blurrry when I try to enlarge it.

remove the tensioner completely so you can get an accurate measurement.

run a piece of string, starting from the alternator, go down, under the crank counter clockwise, around the WP clockwise, and around the P/S counterclockwise, then back to the alt.

take the string and measure its length.

Go to your local parts shack and ask for that size belt, one that is 1/2" longer, and one that is 1" longer. return the belt you do not use. and write the belt length on the underside of the hood, or on the radiator support,

make sure you re-install the tensioner when putting the belt on

Yeah, I did the string test and still came up way short. I got a 70.5" belt which don't fit. I'm fixin to head back to the parts store in a few minutes, and was just checking to see if I could get closer.
