hey guys, i am looking to buy a mustang gt 5.0 litre and found one for $3800. I got the VIN number and checked it out and found out that the car is registered as a lx 2.3L but he put in a engine from a 94 mustang. does it matter that is was a 4 cylinder but has a 5.0L engine?

That depends on a lot of stuff (who did the work, quality of work, quality of parts, etc...). What kind of condition is the car in as a whole, how many mile on car/motor? $3800 seems a bit steep, but I don't know all the specs (paint condition, body straight, wheels/tires.) We would need a lot more info , but initially seems a bit much to me.
