Default Spark plug gap with boost

I have a set of autolight 24. I gaped them at 32... I am puting in my s/c in a couple days so I wanted to put in my plugs now before I start the s/c install... After I put them in a started the car and my idle is searching... Is the gap to small with out the s/c installed??? It sounds like all are fireing.. Checked all connects seems ok... Any ideas

Thanks

.032 is awfully conservative.

i spray 80-100 and gap .042" on stock coppers

but i doubt that you would have driveability issues. i would check your plug to plug wire connection... if it doesnt "snap" its not on

also double check firing order

That is a small gap. I'm n/a and run my gap at .055 and it will probably tolerate more. Try like .040 and see what it does, if it misfires at higher rpm and/or under higher boost then the gap is too big.

When you install the supercharger I would change the gap to .028-.030. I have mine set to .025 on Autolite 3924's. But I am also running much more boost. I end up replacing them twice a year.

.032 should be fine. Are you sure you didn't create a vacuum leak? I would run the codes to see what is going on.

so i gaped the plugs at .042 and installed my supercharger!!!!!

after driving the car for a while and after reaches operating temps im having a surge... belt is not slipping.... cruising im fine... go full throttle and every once in awhile it feels like a miss. or feels like the supercharger belt is slipping but i ahve a boost gauge and its not.. maybe something is getting heat soaked... maybe the gap in the plugs is too big now.

only running 5psi
any thoughts

Try going to .035 and see if it gets any better.

Also, what do you have for an ignition system? Have you made changes to the fuel system to accommodate the blower?
