This is my first time doing a clutch cable install in my 89 lx. I have a cage in the car (which I hate) and it makes it almost impossible to get my body in the car and look under the dash. I literally have to be completely upside down in the seat with my feet over the bar behind the seat. What's the easiest way to do this? Do I unhook it from the top of the petal (I can't even see the damn thing) or unbolt the entire pedal?

 

unhook the cable from the clutch fork first (use a prybar to move it forward)

then get under the dash and undo the cable from the quadrant

open the door, get on your knees on the ground and use your right hand to disengage the cable from the quadrant
