i was thinking of buying an h pipe for my 95 mustang gt. iwas wondering if a muffler shop would install it for me or is it illegal

It is doable in your own driveway, but depending on if the pipes have cats or not, some shops would install it for cash

The keyword here is "some shops." Money talks, and if you find a good old mom and pops shop, you can probably get what you need done. But I believe it is legal providing that you have cats on both of the pipes. Other than that, you might run into a few problems. Good luck!

A local Shop will probably charge ya about 35.00 to 40.00 dollars to do it. Do like USMC1775 stated, do it in your drive and get your fingers dirty. Enjoy the experience and frustrations that come with building your own car.

ihave flowmaster exhaust and was going to buy a bbk off road h pipe .

Just so you know. the "off road" is the "illegal" part. it doesnt have any cats so only "some" shops will install it.

Me and a buddy did it in about 2 hrs. took the old h out, installed the new with flows and welded all the seams. Like bubba said just go for it.
