Merlin engine(British) licensed to Allis-Chalmbers(for production in USA) around 1750 hp. Only thing in WW11 sounded better was British Lancaster heavy bomber....had four Merlins.

Modified a Merlin! Afraid to ask, ahh... how much power does it make? Throttle full they went like 425-430 mph. Corsair(440mph) was only thing faster in US Army Air Corps.

MAN, I have been trying to find one to do a photo shoot with along with my Steeda.

That is my favorite aircraft in the whole world! BEAUTIFUL!

Jack Roush owns several and I am local. A friend works for Roush and is trying to see if I can do it with on of his!

You are a very lucky man to get to fly one of those! I am so envious!!! I would even drive my Stang to Ill to shoot my Steeda next to one of those beauty's!!!

I am an Ex-Air Force photographer, but never had the money back then for my own Mustang (car) so never got the opportunity then either!!!
