My buddy just got a 5.0 and he wants t advance his timeing but I can't see the marks on the balancer.... Could I just white out the 10 degree and then adjust the timing light dial to 14 and done Or do you white out the 0 the dial the timeing light to 14
Is it possible that the guy before when he rebuilt the motor the he stabed the dizzy were 10 is 0.,, I don't know if that I'd possible... Maybe that's why it's marked there
you cant stab the distributor at 10°. But do yourself a favor, grab a timing light, a 1/2" box end wrench, and go look at my how to: properly stab a distributor.
pull it out and reset it. then leave the light set to ZERO, and set the timing you want on the balancer, by lining up the actual value with the TIME mark on the pointer.
