I need to know everyone thing about these cars? there an 1989 50 for sell for 400$, Its either fix the fiero or buy a mustang.

I have a 1996 Mustang GT, How does the 5.0 compare to this car? does it handle good? is it reliable? what is common to break on these cars? what should i look for? any hidden rust areas? ect?

 

You have a lot more to worry about than handling and reliability on a 400$ fox body

I got into an 83 with a little rust and solid strut towers for 700. Since I have bought a new transmission, engine accessories, distributor, instrument cluster and now its onto brakes and tires. Just to get the SOB moving.

 

They are easy to fix and reliable (at least I think so). Just normal maintenance. What all do you know other than the price? Most likely the paint is trash, it has rust under it and the interior is garbage. Restoration parts are easy to get ahold of as well. Your 96 handles better from the factory and probably rides smoother but with a little work a fox will handle great. Just gotta choose the right parts.
