Default Trans part help.

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my c5. Now i've been searching around for rebuild kits or performance rebuild kits but i can't seem to find any. Does anyone know where i might find one ? Perferrably performance.

c-5 is a sister tranny to c-4's mainly found in early rangers and bronco's, I have a c-5 in my 84 bronco II ,OP do yourself a favor and find a c-4, that trannies internals are not as beffy as a c-4's, which is why no performance kits exist.

The C5 is fine as matter of fact I would rather start with the C5, dump the valve body get a full reverse manual to start with some good alto red clutches and good bands. that will hold a good amount of HP just doing this. The C5 is nothing more then a C4 with a lock up converter there are some other changes but the parts interchange. Do more research there is plenty of info out there on them they take a good amount of HP but building it to last is the trick. also make sure you run a C4 converter and a C4 bell housing with the C5. Any more info and I would have to start charging money for it as I build them for a good many locals..... I learned most of my info the hard way and I feel everyone's else should pay there dues also...( I know A$$HOLE) ROFLMAO Good luck with the build...
