I'd go with a TFS Stage 1 cam with 1.6 roller rockers. He needs to upgrade his entire valvetrain with a new cam. Springs, retainers, pushrods, lifters... the whole shebang.

what gt heads? if there the gt40 turbos, y303, y306 etc with a blower this may be a thought comp cams 35-306-8. or the cheaper route with the TFS stage 1! both would be a nice choice!

I know everything he needs.... i plan on running a stout sngle spring(unless it requires duals) 7deg locks/retainers, hopefully i can talk him into roller rockers(scorpion hopefully)... but he can and will be just fine if he runs stockers...

Ad they are regulat gt40 heads...not p heads.. off a 93 cobra. Ill be doing some minor porting....at the very least ill gasket match them and do a valve job( i spent a few yrs working at a machine shop, this isnt new to me...i built the 4.6 in my car)

I ran a comp xe270 in my 5.0 when i had it with gt40 heads/intake... we may use one of those...or the xe278.

The trickflow stage 1 is a little smaller then im thinking of running.

Cuuuussssttttooooommmm!!! :P

Personally, I'm running PAC 1218 LS1 Beehives with spring locators for my heads and 10* locks/retainers. I got the cam/springs etc from Ed Curtis, so if you're thinking of using a Beehive for a single spring shoot him an email.

I'm still here DIME!!! LONG TIME NO HEAR!! AS FOR PRO50SC, he sold his car this past year, he said it was time to move on, I don't post as much anymore, been busy with life..........as for the cam, all my rides run custom ones but I do have an old school f-cam in my 92, which works decent for supercharged rides also, but if you plan on running a supercharger in the future, make sure the valve springs are up for the task, when it comes to using a supercharger, it'll often make up for deficiencies in cam choice....so don't worry about that to much, I plan on adding a supercharger to my 89 vert if the funds are ever right, on the motor it runs mid 12's with small eddy heads, custom can and rpm 2 intake
