weld block?
i have shortblock that has 2 bellhousing bolts broken off..
this happened in the top of 3rd at 6000rpm and 165km/h (102mph) when the driveshaft snapped which caused the tranny to twist and snap also. The bellhousing was in four pieces.
the question is do u think the shortblock would still be usable?
im wondering if when the tranny was twisting the input shaft moving could cause damage to the crank??
it had a roller pilot beaing, the internal part and all the bearings were destroyed/gone...but the outer race is still there
the engine still turns over by hand with no problems

I would not try to weld it if it is nothing special if it is a good race block then I would be looking into having it fixed.stock I would not spend the money on just get another block. As far as the crank goes take it apart and have it checked if you need to reuse it.
