Default Compression Numbers

I have an 89 Gt with stock heads and 1.72 rocker arms. The heads have had valve work. When I ran a compression test on the motor, I am got 185-190 psi. The car won't idle, but will stay on at higher rpms--acting like it still doesn't have compression. Are these numbers too high or do I need to be looking for another problem?

did you do the rockers ? was it running before you added parts and now it isnt ? or did you buy it this way ?

after rechecking firing order, looking for vac leaks etc. i would pull the number 1 plug out and turn it over... make sure it is correct stroke (compression, not exhaust) and not 1-eightied

Shouldve just got trick flow heads and stage 1 cam. Valve work on e7s is a waste of your time and money.
