I have an 83 GT with a 5.0 and a T-5 world class that came from factory. It has the 7.5in rear end in it. I am wondering what gears came stock in it so I know if I'm gonna need to change them or not. I have heard they put the 2.73's in and also heard they put some 3.55's in. Anyone know which one is true??

 

get an 8.8" rear end. dont waste your time with the 7.5

 

+1 8.8 is cheaper to build and stronger

 

they did not put 3.55's in any, 2.73's, 3.08's or 3.27, since my 85 was an auto it had 3.27's when I got it and rear end code is on the door tag

 

+2 the 7.5 is weak as hell
