quad shocks bad?
i dont have any wheel hop but when i changed my lca's i noticed the driver side axle went to the rear of the car and the pass. didnt and i am trying to figure out if the quad shock being bad could cause the same stuff as bad u joints
when i changed my lower control arms the driver side of the axle had to be ratchet straped back into alignment to get the control arm where the pass. side did not, could that be a sign of them being bad
also could them being bad produce the same signs as a bad ujoint
also could them being bad produce the same signs as a bad ujoint
a u joint is on your drive shaft, which can be felt when you accelerate because a worn u joint allows play in the driveline...
did you take off both control arms at the same time? or did you do them one at a time like its recommended? also do you have adjustable ones? cuz if so they need to be set to the same length as the stockers. cuz if you needed to ratchet strap your rear end it sounds like your rear axle is now off kilter and that could do a hell of a number on your pinion gear and driveline as a whole
all the quad shocks do aka axle dampers is prevent wheel hop by attempting to keep the rear end planted to the ground... they can be eliminated with quality upper and lower control arms
