power upgrades
ok so i got a 86 gt with a 5 speed 3.73 gear, cold air intake. i posted a thread about throttle body questions last week and well my dad brought up something interesting. i know people have upgraded pulley systems and taking out emissions crap. i was wondering if i can do this instead of intake upgrades and such. im also thinking about switching to electric fan, how hard is this? how much? and i believe i have a clutch fan now. should i do any of this? anything will help.

Pulleys is one of the first round of mods I did on my car. Honestly though, I can't tell you if there was a difference when I swapped them. Is your exhaust already upgraded? If not I'd start that route since you already have the gears.

if you are serious about doing an electrical fan swap. you should look into getting a 92 3.8L taurus fan. It is a very good (if not the best) fan to use in a fox. The drawback is that you will need to source a wiring kit for it, a good quality thermostat(not the coolant one) and an alternator upgrade.
the 3g alternator upgrade is pretty straight forward to do on your car, and is WELL worth the effort involved.
