Default Another "can you identify this" thread

OK, got the trickflow heads off you guys identified for me. now I am trying to identify the pistons. can anyone identify this one? no marking stamped on exterior and dont have the engine out of the car yet to look for numbers on the inside of the piston.

anyone care to take an educated guess?

That really blows if they are stock. Yes I was told it was a 347 motor. Well i guess im going to have to find me another engine to put the heads on.

On a brighter note though, the car ran 12 teens on motor with what is now looking to be a trickflow headed 302. So my goal of 11 teens on motor should be no problem once i have a true 347 with the upgrades I already purchased.... the stock pistons are still forged correct? basicly i just dont have the stroke i was told correct?

Still sucks that the guy lied to me though

You need to do what I told you to do, before.

bring one piston to BDC
put a straight edge across the bore
measure the depth of the piston

it should be 3.4" for a 347

Yes u can get aftermarket pistons that look the same as oem would be wise to check the stroke!
