Default Fuel filter questions...

Got a 95GT just want to confirm this with the sn95 guys, because this is my first time changing. the filter is in front of the fuel tank by the rear drive axle right? and the switch to cut off the fuel I guess is really what I am unsure about is it on the passenger side or drivers side whereabouts? Also, any particular filter anyone buys or doesn't it matter?

FG 800 (Filter Gasoline 800) Go to fuel rail remove dust cap off port for pressure check. Depress schrader valve release pressure. Reckon you will be at home on ground. Do not get your happy self under the fuel filter. Remove two hairpin clips and loosen the 8mm (5/16") bolt on clamp securing fuel filter. There will be fuel caught in the lines and it will drain out. Tie a shop towel on each wrist and gas will not run into your arpits. Do not smoke during this proceedure.

I'm just going to shut of the fuel pump from the trunk if I can find the switch that way there won't be a whole lot of fuel spillage.

You are still going to spill alot of fuel. Your best bet would be to wrap some rags around the schrader valve on the fuel rails, and depress the button. this will release the pressure in the lines, into the rags.

Even after this, you will still have fuel spillage.

you could always pull the pump fuse while its running... that tends to get it pretty dry and gets rid of most of the pressure too

i said MOST of the pressure (ok a little more than half) but still better than getting ~45psi of fuel in the face...
