Convertible Top Frame???

yeah i figured that....anyone know if the the entire frame is different or only parts of it between the 87-90 and 91-93?? i saw a 91-93 4 popper in the salvage yard a while back but did have the cash to get the top frame

yeah the 91-93 frames are slightly different from the pre 91 style. they did something that eliminates the seam in the roof, if your gonna replace it, you need to do the whole frame.

i think you need a part that is from a 91+ i dont know what they changed on the frame between the years, or why, but i am in the same boat, the main arm on the pass side (where the c pillar would be) is cracked on mine. but a piece of flat stock and bolts are kinda holding the crack together for me. aside from the heads of the bolts (which are countersunk) you cant really tell.

probably what im gonna do....i might just build a garage and remove the top completely and just put it away in bad weather :P
