just did a little research to find a bit of info and found one place where a similar tag number was discussed and said to be world class, and also takes the dex/merc fluid. Still claimed the same capacity, if anyone else can back this up hopefully soon for me would be very much appreciated!
Also I found the drain and fill plugs on the passenger side, not the drivers yet the tag was on the drivers side

use synthetic atf, royal purple or amsoil if you can
if im not mistaken it will say on the bottle "use in place of mercon or dexronIII"
and either of those are fine too

Yes yes yes put about 2 3/4 quarts! But if you look in many tech manuals you get the stated worded drain filling till fluid comes out the fill hole! That's roughly 3.89quarts or 7 3/4 pints. From my t-5 to my buddies 3550!. Same amount from drained to fill!

I drained and filled and going slightly over 2 3/4 (and i mean slightly) caused it to seep out a good bit of fluid when I removed the hose for my pump from the tranny. This, too, was with the car tilted slightly for easier access
nitrous_bob, I know you mentioned using the fill hole would be a pain but using a hand pump worked like a charm, just a tip

As for the OP... im pretty sure he just flat out proved you wrong. I have had my T5 completely empty, when I fixed my blocker ring issue. Guess how much it took to re-fill... Yep, 5.6 pints.

Well I idk what's going on with the five speeds down here. But the 3550 in the 03 cobra held right under 4 quarts of royal purple. Plus my t-5 held the same amount. As far as being a noob or a dumbass I'm far from either you can go **** yourself hope you been wearing those sunglasses while u were in the circle jerkin and eating dick you ***.
