Default Silly battery relocation ????

So thinking about moving my battery to the trunk...

Pics I've seen are on the passenger side.. Any reasons why we don't put it on the drivers side trunk??

Maybe ideal to put it right in the middle as far back as possible but still wondering why tue norm is on passenger side

Thanks

Weight transfer. You would most likely put it on the passenger side to offset the driver weight. It evens out your weight distribution a bit.

quite right, moving the battery to the rear passenger side of the trunk, IIRC was calculated to equal ~75lbs worth of shifted weight. It does certainly help with evening the car out.

because of the mechanics of the drive train, the passenger side wheel trys to unload when power is applied. Soooooo, add more weight over that wheel. watch open differential cars whan they burn out. the right wheel is usually the one spinning.
