Its funny, you go out on a deployment and you have nothing but time to think about all kinds of incredible things to do to your car. This is why I'm reaching out to you guys. Help me finish my car off.

I have chosen two paths that the car can take from where I have it currently.

Option #1.
4.30 gears
new trac-lok (get rid of this rediculous locker)
Faceplated Tremec TKO 600 from libertysgears.com
New black paint
S281 Spoiler
New Kaenen hood to replace the one I broke.

Option #2.
Sell the 347 (yes, seriously)
Install a rebuilt 302(forged pistons, light weight rods, floating wrist pins, 0 balance)
Worked GT-40 heads
Custom grind cam
Undecided high flow intake
3.55 gears
PA Competition AOD with full manual VB, and transbrake
On3Performance Turbo kit

Taking the turbo route will cost considerably more money, and will still be limited to the ~500 HP block limit, because i'd still be using a stock block.

So what would you do? Finish off the 10 second 347, or build the 10 second turbo car. I hate making these desicions!

1) What are you, some kind of novice? Can't make decisions on your own? Some people....

2) TOTALLY just messing around cuz you always like to talk crud to people hahaha :-)

3) I voted for option number 1 in your poll...either way it'll be sick! Stay safe out there and thanks for your service!

I say def keep the 347. I wish I already had one built and unless I die young I swear I'll get one done. I think the 306 would be a waste of money.

Are you on active duty or what? Also I think it would be much sweeter to say "hey i have a na 10 second car." Just my personal opinion. Gotta say it would probably feel pretty sick feeling the turbo spooling but I still vote for the 347.

I think you need to sit down and think about what you want and want out of the car. a 10 sec. turbo car is gone to be much more street friendly then a 10 sec na car. Our car has been in the low 10s (with only 1.70 60ft) lifting and been well over 135 mph. The car is quite gets 15mpg ( keeping your foot out of it) and I cruise well over 100 miles a night in the summer we drive this thing every where. we run a C4 so this has no OD great thing about that is 331 rear gears ( turbos dont like gears) and a 28in tall tire we can run 70mph without the engine revving. you dont need a big cam to make power. but you can get some thump if you want that also. You dont have to rev the thing to the moon to make power. But turbos can get $$$ fast for GOOD PARTS like wastegates and blowoff valves. and fuel system. In the end it is all in what you want I dont think I will ever go back to a N/A setup unless it is a 500+ CID big block. But dont get me wrong turbos and S/C have there draw backs also. OK off my soap box..
