My 91 has no a/c or smog pump. They were both removed before I got the car. According to the diagram on the front of the car it did come with both. Someone removed them and apparently put a shorter belt on. I have no idea what length the belt is compared to the stock belt.

I just noticed a slight squeaking noise which sounds like a belt or pulley, maybe the tensioner pully, but can't be for sure.

Even when I pull on the tensioner all the way to remove slack, the belt is very difficult to take off or put on.

Is it safe for the rest of the pulleys to have a shorter and tighter belt like that or would it be better to put on a a/c delete pulley and smog delete pulley and use the correct length belt?

I would just run the short belt but it is on you have tried getting the belt 1/2 in longer? If you want to move over to the delete pulleys I have the smog one I will sell you it looks brand new. let me know.

the best ac delete is the motorsport kit that moves the PS pump up to where the AC was. just like a factory non AC car.

you dont need the smog pulley, but some guys like it to eliminate that hard angle(tension) it puts on the crank

i run just the short belt

fyi for belt size..... the part number breaks down to the size and number of ribs in it. we use a 6 rib belt

so...

a gates ko60695 = a 6 rib belt 69.5 inches
