Ok i took a bunch of pictures of the engine and some wiring harness's ect. I Dont even know where to start with this car lol. I want to get it up and running so i can make sure this engine and tranny are all good. At the same time ill have my 2 buddys doing some body work. If you guys can take a look at all these pictures and offer any info/advice on what im missing/what i should do, that would be AMAZING!

The wiring harness in the engine bay isnt hooked up to anything at all, Sorry some of the pictures the harness is just sitting ontop of the engine and kind of in the way. If you guys want pics of anything else let me know and ill take them. Here we go! Sorry about the cell phone quality.

Well you obviously need a starter and an alternator. You can upgrade both. I would go ahead and upgrade to a 3G alternator and the 91-93 mini starter. You can use a 87+ alternator with that bracket. The distributor looks like it could need a replacement with all that rust.

I would personally pull the engine and trans and run the wiring to sort it all out. It looks like you have more than you need.

Your timing pointer looks screwed up.

For the wiring you need to lay it out and get some pics of some of the plugs themselves. Especially #6....As for the dash you just need to start matching plugs. There should be a harness inside the car where the dash mounts that a lot of that will mate up to.

#6 looks like it could be the older wiring with the post mount alternator wiring.

#11 There are some pedestal mount RR's.

#8 is an EFI wiring harness. You will not need that.

#12 The power steering has been relocated up to the a/c's spot. Not sure what brand kit they used but I know its not the FRPP's. It is missing the front reinforcement plate.

You are missing the choke plate that you are used to seeing from what I can tell. I haven't ever seen an Edelbrock without it. It looks like it says its a 1408 and I believe those are 750cfm. That is too big for a 302. I would suggest a new carb.

Will I need that reinforcement plate? And I'm assuming there's a wiring diagram on the internet I can get with the wiring harness in the engine bay? I have no clue where any of the plus go but like you said there's a tons of plus and wires.. I can't see them all being used :s

get a haynes manual or whatever the hell they are called! will help you out. And everything is pretty self explanitory as far as one plug can only plug into one other plug.... best bet is to just connect EVERYTHING and then go through it and delete as needed
OR go to ron fransis/painless performance and buy a brand new wiring kit for what you are doing/what you need.... makes life a little easier, and gives you what you want. Not to mention would look cleaner
