Do i need to trim that piece out of the way of the water jackets or no? Also do i need to put silicone on the gaskets between the intake and head as well or just the cork ones between the intake and block??

yes you need to trim it. I use sealer between the head and intake when I use the 1250 or 1262 which ever one you are using. As far as the intake to block I glue the cork down with weather strip adhesive or Indian head then in the corners I use a very small amount of sealer. Silicone can attack cork so dont get much on cork.

They are the 1250's, so id just remove that small piece in the corner of the water jacket then id be good to go? Also id be using black rtv gasket sealer, not straight silicone...

Well got the intake torqued down, and if i look through the intake i can see some gasket in between the intake and head on one side, looks like the gasket scooted down a little, but not much. Will this be okay or should i pull the intake up, scoot the gasket up, then reinstall it?
