Is it possible to install a third brake light in a 85 Mustang?
I have an 85 Mustang, duh, right. Anyways, about 7 years ago, I purchased a Saleen body kit for my Mustang. Then I bought a Cervinis Saleen style wing. Now I am trying to finish what I started. So does anyone know how I could fit an aftermarket 3rd brake light to an 85 Mustang? That or anybody know how I can trade my 3rd brake light Saleen wing for a non 3rd brake light Saleen wing?

OP, I'm not 100% sure where the third brake light is on the newer foxes, but all you really would need are the components out of the newer model. Wiring would be simple, you just need to make sure that the light isnt being powered off a circuit that is affected by directionals.

You have 3 options..
try and fine a wing without the light
swap your hatch for one that has a 3rd light from the factory
drill the hole in your hatch for the light, fish the wires through the hatch and hook it up yourself.

Yes the third option would be the easiest, you would just have to run the wires to the respective places.
Example..http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...ges/LRS-13613B thats just one of the places to get one.

like stated, if you have the light built into the wing already just drill a hole and fish it through the hatch with a wire to where the wiring if equipped exits and enters the body for the rear defrost, I added a 86 third b-light to my 85 years ago, that's how I did it it ran the wiring once into the passanger compartment to a brake light
