Default 5spd question?

Well i put a clutch in my 87 and while under it the tag id number came out to be a 5spd from a 93 cobra, it says the first gear ratio is a 3.35 and i have a 3.73 rearend ratio.. Well we are going turbo later this year and will definatly be swapping the rear!

Is the info i have above correct? F9ZR-70003-AA-rep is the tag id. I~m not worried about the 5 speed breaking from the turbo cause we will then go with a c-4!

yep all factory WC T5's have a 3.35 1st gear, only the T5Z has a 2.95 1st.

the difference between a Cobra and a standard is the front bearing style, Cobra is needle style, all others are just barrel rollers.

let me know when you want to off the T5 im always looking for ones to rebuild or keep for the FFR

ok I~ll do that, its been a good one. We are looking for a c-4 now to go ahead with the swap, then i`ll be looking to get rid of it.

the case tag after 1352 is what u want.

1352 - XXX

the last 3 after the 1352 is what says exactly what it is... the rest are part numbers

Well that was the confusing part that was 132 and it said it never hit production. on 5speeds.com i think it was.

I believe it was the borg warner link.

Either T5 will be in danger with your intentions.

The Cobra trans will also have a synchronized reverse.
