5spd question?
#12
nope...no 1352-132
85-86 turbo coupes had a whopping 4.03 1st gear, they were a 1352-114
most of the 2.3 stangs were 3.97 (154, 162, 194)
are you 100% sure of the tag number ???? cuz a 132 tag would put it in the 1985-1986 year range
the only bonuses i know of with a "z" trans is the 2.95 1st if thats what you wanted, and also , Improved Steel Alloy, Carbon fiber 3/4 blocker rings, tapered roller pocket bearing
the downside of anything newer than '90 or '91 (i forget what year they changed) is they are only rated for about 10-25 more ft/lbs of torque which is nothing... and then have a 8t drive gear, where the older had 7t
so the older you can correct to 3.73 or 4.10 with the non ford gear, and newer you can only correct to 3.27 or 3.55 with the white jeep gear
it takes a 6t to correct it properly, so FYI peeps...if you do a trans rebuild pop that 6t on it so you can use a 18,19,20 and be done
