Engine Bay Work
I have finally gotten around to finishing up my engine bay after removing the fender aprons last year when I had to redo the front clip. I also have posted these pics in my build thread but I know alot of people have probably gotten board with it lol. I just figured I would post this separate to give guys some ideas...
It started out as normal looking fender aprons.....except for all the bondo that was showing and cracking from previous work from another owner.

Then I just left them open and made plates to mount the needed items until I can get to it and make up my mind on how I wanted to complete it...

So now I am boxing the frame rails, blocking off the back of the headlight holes, and making a panel that will be removable for access to anything I mount inside such as the starter solenoid.....

I could have very easily. But this is a MUCH cheaper route and the weight isn't an issue to me. This isn't an all out drag car that needs to be as light as possible. If I was I would have kept it a carbed car as well..
I didn't pay a thing for the sheet metal either
I love to fabricate things and do them the way I want. I could have spent the $150 on the panels that LRS has or Scotrodfab has but I buy the welding wire (which I already had on hand) and some paint and its good as new....or close as I want to mess with it lol
