clutch cable bracket bolt
the clutch cable I bought with my car broke a little while back, it was an adjustable that the previous owner had installed, but couldn't hold the upgraded clutch. I recently upgraded to a BBK that was twice as thick, but when I took out the bracket bolt it it came out ok, and when I put it back in it went in really loose and wobbley. I let it go at the time but it worked its way out and now my clutch cable is drawing itself to the header. I took a machine bolt and got it snug, but its not able to get real tight, so I put some locktite on to help hold it in, but I'm worried it may start working loose. I can't get a nut on from the otherside because it goes into the subframe. Anyone know of a way to fix this? I'm thinking something like a self tapper but any other advice would be great
just use a self tapper of use a zip tie and tie the cable out of the way.i got a steeda cable and it stays far away from the header and it dont have the mounting bracket on it either
my car has BBK long tubes, my guess is they stick out a bit more than stock as usually headers do, but it doesnt give me much room to work with when trying to safely routing stuff like that cable. Guess a self tap it is, zip ties aren't gonna save the day this time unfortunately...
