Rear Bumper Shock Absorbers

Rear Bumper Shock Absorbers
I had the bad luck of my 93 LX 5 L CV being rear ended. Thank goodness it was by a small car as we were leaving a traffic light intersection. The only visible damage is on the right half of the rear plastic bumper cover Underneath two of the plastic pins were knocked out and the shock absorber indicates it moved about 3/16 ".
I am waiting on the insurance company's response so I do not want to remove the cover until I have received an offer. What other things should I look for after the cover is off? Is the shock absorber a one-time thing? I have not been able to find these on the parts vendors sites.
I see how the bumper cover is held by the six plastic pins. How is the top of the cover secured? I don't find the shop manual to be a big help.

The studs are located down in the wells of the rear of the car after the panels have been removed. Truthfully as long as your bumper cover sits straight I would worry about replacing the absorbers unless you are **** about stuff like that.
