Default heads

I am starting to consider new head options and want a few opinions so I make the right choice. I am going to run a bbk 5001 intake, and I want good flowing heads to match. I am planning to have a friend port and polish plus cut the 3 angles, and probably have them resurfaced. I have heard gt40p heads are a good choice, and found a set for 150 but don't know the condition just yet. Would these be my best bet or what other options would be better?

Hmm, I just don't know if I want to spend 1000 plus on heads, I found gt40 heads local for 250, I did a little research and decided against the p heads since it looks as though they take a little work to get installed. And why not the bbk? every review I've seen has been a plus

i sold my canfield 195's with a good cam and a bunch of other stuff for 1050 shipped to cali. so i'm sure you can find some good aluminum heads for 7-800. also i've heard that the bbks are a complete pain to get to install without leaking. altho they do look cool, i've never heard anything good about them.

they flow no better than a Cobra intake, are a paint to install and will do nothing on any motor that has anything other than E7'd on it...

buy used TF heads and a used Track Heat intake and call it a day

My biggest thing is opportunity though, I know I can get a good deal on these GT40 heads which I can do now, I never know when I'll find trick flow's though if they come up around this area. I am also not building a drag car, more of an autocross car so I don't need top of the line, and once the port and polish work is all done wouldn't the GT40's be extremely efficient? The only issue is the weight of them. I'll see what I can come up with soon, and possibly find a nice trick flow intake or edelbrock or something. Im thinking too I can get these and if I change my mind later I can get my money back out of them

*edit* hmm I looked on ebay and summit carries assembled edelbrock performer heads for around $600 each, not too bad...perhaps would be worth forking up the extra cash, how do you guys feel about the edelbrocks?
