Well if you put a bunch of money/mods into the motor, along with even aftermarket midpipe/header you likely won't sound like the supposed "soo many people" who have flowmaster anyway due to different setups.

How did you come to this conclusion btw?

That's an excellent point but I made that decision based on several youtube videos and the one that really sold me had done the same things or fairly similar things to his engine that I plan on doing to mine now and i loved the way it sounded.

flowmasters sound like ****ing garbage, no matter how you slice it. And youtube is the WORST way to choose an exhaust.

Ok guys, I am in the same boat as this guy. Mine is a 95 5.0. I am willing to spend 5-6k under the hood to get a great running car. That is to include tranny and rear end. If someone could and would be willing to help me compile a list of what to start buying and where from, that would be great. I honestly would rather not buy used parts, just because I don't feel comfortable with it. Money is not so much of an issue as time and knowledge are. Also, I am looking to do some body work, looking for a good body kit. I don't want something that just screams look at me, I prefer more clean and subtle that will turn heads as I drive by. I already have an exhaust I am happy with, but thats it. So any help with this list and any knowledge you are able to pass on would be greatly appreciated, I really am all ears!

Quick edit: I was contemplating buying the Steeda 302 BOSS crate racing motor since its already complete. Would the stock transmission (5 Speed Manual with a failing 2nd gear synchronizer) and rear end be able to hold up to that or will I have to do some upgrades there as well? I know suspension mods will have to come with that much power, really thinking about going Steeda all the way, any suggestions? Also would I have to lower the compression on that crate motor to boost it? I am thinking of a Paxton super charger.

Here is the link to the motor I was contemplating. Could you tell me what belt set up the 95 5.0 has? Sorry for all the questions guys, I am a bit of noob to the mustangs!

That engine would be a gigantic waste of money, and the only "body kit" you should ever put on a mustang, is the saleen kit.

Why would it be a waste of money? Is there a cheaper alternative to getting the same thing? I'm really new to the Mustang world, so I need some help here. Also where can I find a Saleen Kit for my 95 GT?

that $6700 engine wont even break 300hp at the wheels. Thats almost as much money as I have into my 347, if not more.

If you cant assemble a good reliable engine for less than $3500, you are doing something seriously wrong.
