Default Have been wondering on rpm flat-line at 5300!

Well I once posted up my last track times before the tranny issue and said i had a rpm issue! Well sitting on my front porch one afternoon i started to think on the issue it could be. I thought back to a similar engine i built for a friend of mine with the same heads and remembered his needed 6.5 in Pushrods, i got low on cash when i got to the end of my build so i reused the hardened 6.25`s i had in the previous engine. Well i started to check my thoughs on the car, when i checked lift at the vlv it was a pretty good way away from spec so i checked some info on geometry of the vlv train to refreshen my wornout blob of mass between my ears, and i found the exact symptom of my car in that section of the book so i am replacing the 6.25 with 6.5 and should be correcting the issue! Next trip i should get some better times on motor and finally a nitrous pass if the rpm issue is fixed!

The car ran fine and had no other issues, I`ll update with results of the find after the weekend i hope to go friday night! Hope i get a better number than 7.80 now.

Well yes i did measure before i ordered the new pushrods, cant blow 100$ a pop for a guess.. I should have mentioned that.

I bought a length checker when i done my buddies engine, thats how we knew his used a 6.5 in length rod. Sorry for the confusion.

But i dont know that it will be the correcting factor i hope so i dont have a fuel issue, nor a spark issue so i think this would be it the springs are still good also.
