Question looking for cheap upgrades

hey guys im new to mustangs im 18yrs old so im still in HS senior year. and back in HS you know what my budget is like, so im looking for some cheap upgrades. everything that's on my 91 was free to me. my friend totaled his 92 foxbody and left his car in my back yard so i have a full part's car. except the motor and trans he took that but left me the BBK CAI of the 5.0 . so whats some good upgrades? im looking for 400-450hp. and my friends say turbo it and ive been looking online a turbo's cost $2g+ without headers etc. so if you guys know of a cheap turbo kit that would help me out alot.

400-450 hp is going to cost you more than $2k

Turbo kit - $1500 minimum
Fuel mods - $500
Air mods - $300-400
Tune - $500
Odds and Ends - $250ish (gaskets, fluids, hoses... etc)

I'll sell you a short shifter though! Its a BBK Ripper, Was in my car for about 5 months. I took ti out when I swapped to a tremec trans. $65 and its yours.

Try advancing your timing and riping out some excess weight. Nothing better than going faster for free.

$2000 isn't even going to buy the heads like you need.
Take it easy, watch Craigslist, go to the swap meets etc
and find things that you need that way.
The kind of power you are talking about with the supporting mods is going to cost a lot more than $2000.......

4.10 gears, used et streets and a used 100 shot

for $900 you can go mid 12's, start dumping weight and go even faster

Set of shorty headers and a catless h-pipe (depending on your local emissions laws) and the above nitrous idea. Just dont get a dry kit...

Also don't 4 get the junk yard mods! 4.10's from rangers,gt 40p heads and manifolds from the exploder and mountaineer! Headers, intakes, Going fast is always gonna cost! Build what you can afford and enjoy it! Also Be careful! Not much fun wrapped around a tree.
