Default K member-worth it??? pics inside.

moving along with my build, engine bay is finished. as pictured my girl did all the grinding away of the rust before prime and paint under there

NOW IS THE TIME FOR K MEMBER!!!

But I already have another fox built. and my girls sn95. I dont want to drop that much into this one.

If you have a kmember/coilover/tube a arm conversion, you guys really notice the difference in handling?

What will dropping 1000~ cash down for this stuff (from maximum) going to do on a street car?

I want a k member, tube A arms and what not, but cant justify spending 1000 dollars for one.

But I want it. Help me decide by giving feedback!

I'm a reader not a poster but...

I have 2 foxes.
I want to hurry the red 93 project up so i can get back to my 88 hatch.

My girl drives a 95GT with all boltons that we take to shows.
Is it worth it for a spiritable driving street car?

I'd pass if it's just going to be a DD. You gotta tell me how you trained your girl to work on the car. My wife gets beat down by the vacuum cleaner.

leave the stock K-member in there. There is no performance benefit to swapping it on a street car. There are however plenty of drawbacks to putting an aftermarket K-member in.

I run a MM k-member and suspension on my street car. Made the car handle a hell of a lot better. Worth it in my opinion if you plan on keeping the car.

Ill say this also. Do not put a drag-race k-member in a street car. I bought one that was recommended and I ended up sending it back and buying a MM one which was much heavier duty.

I'd only do MM in a k member. and the a arms. What was your setup before the MM kmember that made you notice the drastic change?

I'm already dropped on tokicko blues. Where was the handling better? Less bump steer, less understeer, etc

I had stock stuff. I mainly stiffened the car up for road racing. There is no body roll. Pretty much when I turn the wheel the car is going and it does it quickly. I still havent really tuned the suspension since I havent tracked it yet but still it took a flat curve at 85mph with out squalling a tire or being pushed very hard. cant remember if that was with the 4-link or the torque arm though.

I did it just to shed the extra weight off the front end, improving the balance of the car.

So you appreciate the benefits of a tubular k-member kit, and you're at a good place in the project to install it, but you don't want to pay $1000?
