i was leaning toward the 5.8. little more power and a little less modification required. I dont want to do crazy power or anything. 500 at the max would be good. the only real reason i want to switch to the windsor is for the little bit stronger block to put a on3 turbo kit on, and correct me if im wrong in making that decision. if i could i would like to keep the 302 and do turbo just so i dont have to swap anything. except do some aftermarket stuff to it like heads, and a couple other things. i just dont want to strap on that turbo and then blow it apart 500 miles later.

So long as you have forged pistons and the rotating assembly is in good condition you will be fine so long as you have the proper tune on a 302...
