I was thinking doing the 4.10 gears. And i want to rebuild my engin to so for my budget i am think 4500 to 6500 but that is going to take me a few years.
And when you say H/C/I are you talking about Heads/cam/injectors?

Along with the 4.10's you need to get some heads.
Ford never did put a real good head on any 5.0's........

TFS TW 170s or AFR 165s are the two best choices imo, TFS TWs run a few hundred bucks cheaper. I would not waste your money with the gt40 or gt40p heads.

Heads without the proper full intake set-up, cam and fuel system will do barely any good. Wanna go cheap get nitrous.

A set of gt-40 heads and intake, with a semi-decent cam, and intake will net you as much horsepower as a choked off good set of heads....

But with a choked off set of heads you can upgrade later...

Google some stuff.

i disagree on the GT40's i like them

real gt40's , NOT p's are a good head. but not box stock. they need some porting on the exhaust and a good valve job. helping out the intake turns is a good idea too.

after spending $300 on the heads and another 200-300 on port work though....you can have a set of used aluminum heads for not much more.

im a big fan of gt40's, but if you shop around...you can get a better deal on used aluminum. be careful that someone didnt port them in a way that doesnt work for YOU though. what i mean is...on a stockish cam and typical streetcar setup...FLOW means NOTHING !!!! its all about velocity

a head thats TOO ported can slow you down because the velocity will suck
