Default Cam choice

So during spring break I plan on taking the mustangs 302 apart for some mods. I am interested in getting a cam to go along with the heads I will be installing. I have a set of E7s that I will be porting. So I want a cam to go along with it other than stock if possible. I would really like to keep my current push rods as well. Finally I would like a little lope in it as well if that is possible. So what brand cam can I buy? I looked at the Ford Racing B303 cam, but I would have to get 1.6 rocker. However, I have considered converting to roller rockers.

The engine is a late 80s roller block

Current mods are:

Edelbrock 1406 carb
Weiand Action Plus Intake
HEI dizzy
patriot mid-length headers
and eventually the E7 heads

throw the E7's in the trash and get a better head. GT-40's OOTB are better than an E7 head that has been ported by the average schmoe

new "good" heads will net you a larger gain. GT-40 heads are STILL widely available in salvage yards. Search for a 96-97 explorer. and if you go to look at the engine, make sure the heads have three bars cast into the end of them.

They also shouldn't be very much money. But IMHO, If you cant afford both... you should save your money.

HO swap? Please tell me you aren't seriously considering installing some BS stock mustang heads and cam.... You would just be wasting money on gaskets.

There is a guy selling some gt40p heads with headers for $250. Good deal? Also would they headers clear my z-bar?

EDIT: Nvm listing is gone

Yea if I could do it again I would upgrade the heads to some afrs with the stock cam rather than a b303 with e7s
