you dont want to deal with GT-40P heads... get regular "3 bar" GT40's

No matter what you are able to do to the E7 heads they aren't going to make the power of an Edelbrock, AFR or most any aftermarket head.
Keep cool, save some more money and get decent heads and stuff later on.......

What is there to deal with on gt40P heads over regular gt40 heads? The exhaust manifold issue?

p-heads have a 1.84/1.46 valve set up, smaller chamber = tad more compression, , there is the header issue and spark plug wire configuration, where as the gt-40 heads have a 1.84/1.54 valve set up, slightly larger chamber = tad less compression and no header issue, it's your car, your money, do what you want

Near impossible for me, already bought some other stuff.

I really have no desire to spend 1K+ on a set of heads. Its my DD so it doesn't have to make a ton of power, just want a little HP pickup.

Well a local pull-a-part type place just opened up and apparently they have plenty of GT40 explorers. So I figured out that for about $160 I can get the heads and push rods. Plan on making a trip down there soon to see if i can snag a pair.
