After installing my BBK long tubes on my 89 lx my motocraft plug wire on cylinder number 6 is sitting on the header tube.

It burnt it a little bit but I don't think it burn it all the way through. I think i fixed the issue by putting one of the special header wrap covers on it.

But now my issue is that i can visibly see my header sparking off of the plug wires steeling the spark.

Is the plug wire shot (they are a month old)or is their another way i can fix this?

You need a new spark plug boot on that wire. Get a package of 90 degree angle spark plug boots off Amazon for cheap. I have a few if you want them, 5$ plus shipping.

I used a Ford Racing plug wire set and I don't have that problem.
In fact for $39.95 they seem to be hard to beat.....
