i have a 95 cobra it starts but cranks slowly. then i drive it about at least a mile or more then shut it off come back out to start it after sittin about 10 to 15 min it cranks slowly but wont start n if i keep tryin to start it the ground wire starts smokin on the battery! any suggestions here? please!! thx

Make sure your terminals are tightened and aren't corroded, if you can twist the connections at all they aren't tight enough

 

make sure the ground wire is grounded correctly and not corroded..., I think your starter is going out!!

 

if you have a multi meter on hand, check resistance on the starter wire. it should have no more than 1 ohm of resistance

 

Clean the connections on the wires and where they make contact to starter an battery, i would go ahead and check all grounds just to be sure
