s- trim
Just picked up an s trim
i wanna get rid of my gt40 heads and e cam. but i wanna keep my rpm2. just wanted to see what heads you guys were running (perferbly with room to grow) and cam with a supercharger and will a 75mm tbody and 80 mm maf do? And no it aint a stroker and yes im limeted in hp cause my stock block need bigger pump and injectores. gears are undecided still any other info you guys will need . its a weekend car sees trck a few times a year

Congrats on the s-trim. I went with 165s on my motor. If I would have been changing pistons, I probably would have went with 185s. There are much better ots cams out there better than the e-cam.
I went with a 90mm sct because it matches the size of the powerpipe. Kinda makes sense...

gt40 heads, e cam, and rpm2 intake will work fine with a vortech, pulley it down to make some good boost, probably around 15pounds, and it can make 450 to the tires pretty easy.
like you said, you need a proper fuel pump, and injectors to support it. I would recommend a 255 high pressure pump, and 42lb injectors.

yeah i was thinking if i needed to ill notch my pisons for a bigger head since im going to rering and throw new berings in it.
302 army isnt 15lds of boost alot of boost to run in a stock bottom end engine? i here 10 to 12lbs is a safe amount correct me if im wrong

I know plenty of people running 15lbs with no cooling, as daily drivers.
you will be fine!
worst case scenario, you blow a head gasket, just make sure its tuned really well.
head studs will help, and a quality gasket, but leave it how it is until it blows. My buddy Trey's car.... well we don't talk no more... he had 100% stock motor with a procharger at like 15lbs, (no cooling mods)and it made 380hp 380trq at the tires, running out of fuel, so he shifted at like 4200 or 4500rpm or something like that. He daily drove it like that for a year. Decided he wanted more power, got a better fuel pump, and I think rails and injectors. made 408rwhp as it blew the 150k mile stock head gaskets. dunno why really.
he then went h/c/i, pretty mild stuff, nothing crazy and it made 550rwhp....... and he sold it. dunno why..
I would not upgrade the rod bolts if thats what your talking about, thats big coin to have the rods and stuff machined.
I would not recommend the b-31 with gt40 heads, they don't flow enough to support the higher RPM's.
What you have now will work just fine. throw boost at it, and it will make a ton of power.
