new build question
i recently bought a carb setup for my efi 5.0. so i'm coverting to carb. i keep getting hammered in the head by friends telling me that i messed up by going to carb. will i loose power with a carb setup?
Carb Setup: Edelbrock AirGap ported w/Edelbrock 600 mechanical choke carb
EFI Setup: Typhoon upper and lower, CAI, 24# injector w/c&l 76 mm MAF, shorty headers, adjuster fp, 1.7 cran cam rockers, 3:73 rear-end, full H-pipe 2.5in flowmaster dumps, 70mm TB, stock 5 speed.

No, you shouldn't. Carb/efi are just to different ways of fueling an engine. Personally, I think if the car came from the factory with a computer, then you just build it as efi. But thats just my own opinion. Carb is going to be easier to tune, although the stock fox computers are pretty easy. I think you have a lot more engine control with a computer.
Carb isnt always EASIER if you think so well get it on!
A carb conversion consist of more than just ripping off the intake and swapping! the fuel system has to be changed among a number of other things and the wrong carb and intake or a defective piece will create lots of headache!!
EFI ftw, yeah it cost a few bucks more but the perks are unrivaled by a carb`d unit!
