So its a father son project with my sons 1995 base stang 3.8 that we're upgrading to a 5.0 h.o. with a 5 speed...! found the donor car just gotta go pick it up. The plan is to do the eng./trans. build this winter and swap it in the spring. Planned mods.; head work, cam change, full re-build of eng/trans, springs, shocks, sway bar, and brake upgrades too at the time of the swap.
My only question is about the gauges working properly after the upgrade? The 3.8 is an aod and I'm swapping everything from the 5 spd. donor car but its a 91' so I'm not sure if the dash harness will be compatible? I know about the reverse light and overdrive wiring involved in the trans swap but what about the dash? Any ideas or advice id appreciated.
I'll try and post pics as soon as I get em' and then all thru the build too.

would finding a 95 5.0 be cheaper..yes and alot less hassle.
