i have a 94 5.0. The engine stutters and bucks unless i REALLY get into the throttle. After it drives for a while, it seems to be less pronounced but still exists. Even with the engine warm, if i restart the car it will do it all over again, even if its already at operating temp. I have replaced:

Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
ECU
Cap, Rotor
Coil
TPS
MAF
Plugs, Wires

Timing is perfect

i am at a loss -- the computer is a 90. The car had a 5 speed but i swapped in an AOD. Thats the only weird thing. The engine is stock.

any ideas?

 

did u change your ecu over to one for a automatic transmission when you did the swap? have you checked your fuel pressure, check the balancer to make shore it hasnt spun could be giving false timing reading
