Yes it does....but again.....I believe that the shaft breaking is what caused the screw to come out.

makes me wonder if mines going to snap. I tend to stomp the living **** out of the pedal sometimes.

doesn't seem THAT bad. shave it down smooth again, and should run fine.... IMO.

I was looking at it yesterday and IDK why the hell it would have snapped. The shaft has more movement in it possible after the bellcrank is wide open....who knows....again stuff happens lol...

Yea, I could just slap new gaskets on it and put it back together but I am gonna swapp out the 2 old pistons and this one out and put some new rings in it first. I have all winter so its not like I am in a hurry to get it back together like I used to be when I was in TX lol

I am just glad it wasn't something major....As much as I want an excuse to throw a 351w in it...I can't afford it right now...unless I find one hell of a deal in the next couple months. BUT no job and going to school full time...and being the holidays funds are very limited...the VA doesn't pay enough lol. So this winter is a winter to do all the little freebie mods that I have been planning...such as a little weight reduction here...a little rewiring there...a little more porting..yada yada yada...

I plan on making a winter build thread to keep busy I already have a couple things accomplished

WTF that does not sound like just a little screw.

then again, the amount of force it would take to beat the **** out of that screw and do that damage might make some noise when it contacts the head or something.

thinking of it, how does the head/valves look?

Yup...thats a 1/4 inch long screw bouncing around in the cylinder....being beat up..... Now that I think about it I bet it was the head and the threaded part was already separated and both pieces were in there together. I did find the head of the screw up in the upper intake...

The head/valves.......surprisingly.... almost completely untouched! From what I seen there was just a nick on the edge of the flat part of the chamber that extends out into the cylinder...

Lucky Me!

at least I hope that is all...haven't pulled the valves out yet but all seems well so far....

yea i would still do the ol' flashlight trick with the heads looking for light around the valves, and maybe lap them.

there gt40's right? should try and port them a bit while there off since you said you have some time to **** around with the car.

I have already got many hours in porting them . It is mostly the exhaust side I have worked on but the intake has a little done as well right now... I planned on opening up the push rod pinch some and a little more runner work. I also need to port the lower to match. If I had the extra $200 or so I would just send it to TMOSS but that isn't going to happen lol.
