Default First Mod List (suspension first!)

Howdy,

I ordered a complete suspension from LMR. I know I should have asked before ordering so I'm thinking I should get some feedback from the group. My suspension on my 90 LX 5.0 vert is shot and original. I need all new and want good street / highway performance. Not looking to track this thing at all.

Am I missing something from this order? Would you change anything? What about ball joints?

LMR Item Number
EIB-3514680 1983-93 Mustang 5.0L Convertible Eibach Pro-System Plus

SVE-5649BT 1979-04 Mustang SVE Tubular Rear Upper And Lower Control Arm Kit, Red

AJE-MU6000 1979-93 Mustang Front Mild Steel Tubular Control without Spring Cups (Um... do I need spring cups still????? ugh!!)

MM-MMFL5PC 1979-04 Mustang Maximum Motorsports Black Powdercoated Full Length Subframe Connectors

JM-24212 1990-93 Mustang J&M Caster Camber Plates

Any thoughts on the setup?? Do I still need the control arms with the spring cups or are the eibachs coil overs? They don't look like it. I also accidentally ordered the red rear control arms and should have ordered black.

Thanks everyone.....

well probably a good kit, but you probably paid way to much for everything. coil overs are for the hardcore track enthusiasts, i talked to a rep directly from eibach and he told me not to bother with coil overs. unless your constantly racing on different tracks there is no point in coilovers. they are there for adjustability, once you figure out the sweet spot and you are street driving then you never have to change it, its for making changes track to track. u will be really happy with that kit.
i love my kit and tubular control arms, handling is awesome

The eibachs in that kit are NOT coilovers. Probably could save a few bucks and eliminate the camber plates. My last car had full on inverted coilovers on them and the only time I adjusted them was at the track. I adjusted the camber once in 3 years for a track day at thunderbolt raceway.

If you are not going to use the car for the track why did you spend money on all that stuff?
Should have just used quality parts and rebuilt the suspension.......

I ended up changing out the front sways and just getting bushings and ball joints for the stock sways. I also added the sprint separators. I kept the rest of the kit the same. I'm going for it and UPS is on it's way.

I have been told I need the adjustable camber plates in order to get to a beneficial alignment now that the car will be lowered.

The unibody brace is just an add-on as I'm used to a Miata without any twist (albeir, without much power except for a supercharger) and I really want this thing to just handle a bit.
